「桃太郎 海の神兵」
During the Second World War, the Japanese government began enforcing cultural nationalism. A several groups of cartoonists were formed at that time. Many animators were urged to produce animations which enforced the Japanese spirit. Momotaro's Gods-Blessed Sea Warriors is the first Japanese feature-length animated film. It was directed by Mitsuyo Seo, who was ordered to make a propaganda film for the war. Momotaro’s the captain of an aircraft and the animals were the pilots. This movie was made after the attack on Pearl Harbor. These animals, all of them, are going to die. That's the japanese spirit.
